About Us

Dead Nice Campers was officially launched in April 2014, although the ideas behind this bespoke and "off the shelf" company have been growing and taking shape over the past 10 years.

Known locally as 'Dead Nice Dan', Dan Davis started his construction and engineering business in 2004 and over the years DNDans Engineering projects and commissions have ranged from on site building construction, barn conversions, listed building repairs and renovations to mechanical engineering, fabrication and joinery in his workshop which is based in the beautiful Vale of Llangollen.

The seed for Dead Nice Campers was sown in the early days when Dan's home was his camper van. It was this experience, combined with the many skills of his trade that led Dan to discover his passion for converting vehicles into 'homes', firstly by working on his own and then being commissioned by others to help convert theirs - from transit vans, to old library vans and even camping trailers. No job was too big or small. That first seed has finally come to fruition and after 10 years of 'testing and perfecting' Dan has now downed all other tools to concentrate on his bespoke conversions.

So, whether you want the latest model camper or an ancient vehicle with heritage converting, old or new, Dan will work with you and your ideas, paying attention to the smallest of details to give you your perfect and unique home on wheels, be it a campervan, motor home, day van, weekender, camping trailer or full expedition prepared truck. Dan offers a full design and build from scratch service and is also happy to work on simple make overs/conversions - whatever best suits your needs.
